watching Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation and it makes sense. they say the upper class takes all the money, the middle class does all the work, and the lower class is there to remind the middle class that they need to work harder. when THEY flooded the streets with crack, suddenly all these drug movies come out, got these kids wantin to be drugs dealers. drug dealers need drug users. you turn the story into money by flooding the media and than declare a war on the dealers. mandatory 5 years for 5 grams of crack? round em up and throw em in jail..
i say work hard,
play hard.
i just play a lil too much
but can you blame me
when the government out there raping us.
molding us.
deforming us.
our psyche.
call me crazy and i might be.
despite me.
tune into the words i got for you
ive thought them thru
its as true as what you believe to be blue.
at the end of the day
no dollar amount can amount to you
you gotta see life thru
not artificially,
materialistically.
i know its hard
i write the shit and it still gets to me
flashy words.
nice labels.
cool brands..
